Planning a trip to Meghalaya
The double-decker root bridge at Nongriat is 3,500 steps down and 3,500 steps back up. Everyone underestimates this. We build a full day around it and nothing else.
The rest of the trip is Krang Suri, Mawlynnong, the Dawki river and a night camping at Shnongpdeng. Where we can, we stay in Khasi homestays rather than Shillong hotels.
